BEFORE YOU WALK IN

A little familiarity.
A little less uncertainty.

Getting to know a church takes time. Here’s a glimpse of our life together, with room for your questions.

01 / SUNDAY TOGETHER

Scripture, song,
and shared faith.

Our worship includes prayer, hymns and modern worship songs, and a sermon from Scripture. We are a small congregation in the Church of the Nazarene, growing in our relationship with Christ.

Benjamin RichisonPastor
What is the service like?
We gather for prayer, worship through song, and biblical preaching. Hymns are part of our worship, alongside modern songs. Sunday services typically last about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. We currently celebrate Communion quarterly.
What should I wear?
Casual or business casual is fine. Our focus is on the teachings of Jesus, not on what you’re wearing or how you look. Come ready to learn and grow with us.
What about children?
We have toddler and children’s rooms with toys and coloring books. Parents are welcome to use these rooms with their children whenever needed. As a small church, we do not currently offer a separate children’s church led by volunteers during the main service. Children are encouraged to join us in worship. When we hear a child during the service, we hear hope for our future.Include children in my visit plan →
What is Sunday school like?
Sunday school currently features video lectures on a variety of topics from Roger, a longtime attendee and contributor to the ministry. We begin at 9:15 a.m., and the church opens at 9:00 a.m.
Where do I enter and park? Is there step-free access?

Our front door is visible from the street and will be open for services. You can see photos of the church on our official Facebook page to help you recognize the building before you arrive.

We currently have street parking and grass parking. You’re welcome to park on the grass south of the church. We have a wheelchair ramp and nearby parking by a sidewalk that leads to the ramp. Our bathrooms have wall-mounted grab bars.

Can I ask questions about faith?
Absolutely. Questions are welcome and encouraged as we deepen our understanding of faith. Our Wednesday service meets every week at 6:00 p.m. Central Time and is a great opportunity to bring your questions and talk with a pastor.
What should I know about Communion?

We currently celebrate Communion quarterly. If you’re visiting for the first time, please feel no pressure to participate, especially if you have not yet committed your life to Christ.

Communion, also called the Lord’s Supper, is a sacrament Jesus established to proclaim His life, suffering, death, resurrection, and promised return. It is a means of grace: Christ meets us through the Holy Spirit, renewing our faith and our unity as His Church. The Manual invites those who trust in Christ and love His people to participate with reverence, repentance, and gratitude.

We come as people who have received Christ’s forgiveness, seeking forgiveness from those we have wronged and extending forgiveness to those who have wronged us.

Jesus said, “Do this in remembrance of me.” 1 Corinthians 11:24–25 · ESV ↗ (new tab)

When can I watch the sermon online?

We do not currently have the equipment to livestream the full service. The sermon typically begins around 10:20–10:25 a.m. Central Time. Follow the church’s only official Facebook page.
